Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival.
C.S Lewis
This quote relates to
my life because I am blessed the friendships that I have made throughout my years
have taught me to become more considerate, understanding, and has put me in
situations where I must put myself in my friends' shoes. Just as C.S Lewis
quotes, friendship is indeed one piece of the puzzle of life that gives it
value and meaning. Friendship is a two way system where both parties learn from
one another, and as the bonds of friendship grow stronger and stronger; its
significance in life blossoms even more so.
Family is not an important thing. It's everything.
Michael J. Fox
Additionally, this
quote relates to my life because for myself, family has so much meaning. We are a tight knit unit who supports each other, shares laughs and
memories, stays together through the most luminous and the most sombrous of
days, and more importantly, we love one another unconditionally. I know deep
within that no matter what happens, my family will never leave me. As I have
grown older, I have also learned that family does not have to be tied to an person
by blood. Family can extend beyond that; simply characterized by love and
affection towards an individual that is not necessarily a blood relative.
